There is no doubt that IE7 has caused some problems with our custom work. However, the most surprising thing is that the new browser from Microsoft has issues with the out-of-the-box SharePoint Portal Server 2007 installation that comes from Microsoft itself.
This question has now been raised: who is responsible for the development effort required to bring an application in compliance with IE7? Bug fix or upgrade?
Backward compatibility would have been a good choice.
