Job Description

Digett has an immediate opening for a well-rounded Application/UI Developer to help us deliver innovative and effective web marketing solutions to clients. This is a full-time position. We are open to both local candidates (San Antonio, TX) as well as a remote arrangement with the right candidate.

Responsibilities

Web development
Knowledge, observance and refinement of development best practices
Accurate estimation (budgeting) of development tasks and time needed for completion
Working effectively with designers, producers and other team members, as well as with clients
Multitasking, sometimes handling multiple projects
Development and support of client websites
Mentoring and team development

Required Skills and Experience

Strong command of xHTML, CSS, PHP 4.x/5.x, MySQL 4.x/5.x, Javascript, AJAX
Knowledge of Unix admin/shell programming and command line interface
Excellent analytic abilities and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for team and client relations
Self-motivation and ability to work independently
Collaboration skills, taking direction and working with others
Initiative to learn and desire to develop and deepen skills
English proficiency

Special consideration goes to candidates who demonstrate:

Expert knowledge of and proven experience with Drupal, the Drupal API, and custom module development
Active participation in the Drupal development community
Systems integration experience
Knowledge of one or more PHP frameworks (other than Drupal)
jQuery expertise
Experience using Java, Ruby, and/or Flash Actionscript
Unix/Linux, Apache, basic server administration knowledge
Database experience outside of MySQL
Developer team leadership/project management experience
