Sean, your code looks good. I hate to ask such an obvious question, but have you tried clearing your Drupal cache? (admin → settings → performance)

Also, what theme is thestreetsavvy based on (and what version)?

I'd also take a look at line 147 in your page template file. Is that where the $edit variable comes into play?
