@Christina While I have not used the megamenus module itself, I would highly recommend using Superfish to handle the the menu dropdown features and behavior. While it can be a bit overwhelming at first, I think you will find that it handles dropdown and touch behavior out of the box.

If your menus are just basic menus, then menu_views would be a bit much.
